A London woman who was sick with the novel coronavirus has fully recovered.

Ontario’s chief medical officer of health says it’s the province’s first resolved case of the virus.

Dr. David Williams says the patient tested negative for the virus twice in 24 hours and is no longer considered infectious.

At the time of her diagnosis last month, the woman had been praised by health officials for taking extra steps to not risk others becoming sick despite returning from China showing no symptoms.

Williams says the risk for Ontarians contracting the coronavirus remains low.

Public health officials, meantime, say the first two people to test positive for the Covid-19 virus are still recovering under quarantine in their Toronto-area home.
