Have ripe bananas on hand? Forget the banana bread….try this simply amazing dessert that will wow your family or guests but is OH SO EASY!

Ingredients:

• 4 x large fresh bananas – ripe bananas that are not too brown or mushy.
• 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
• 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon (you can add more or less to your liking)
• ½ teaspoon of Salt/Sea Salt
• Air Fryer

Directions:

Cut bananas lengthwise (leave skin on), place bananas in air fryer skin side down. *this will create an amazing cocoon for cooking the bananas.
In a mixing bowl stir together brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Drizzle the mixture over the bananas.
Air fry your bananas at 400 for 6 minutes, until the sugar is melted and has created a crunchy top layer.
Carefully remove your caramelized bananas, place on serving dish or plate and just add your favourite ice cream! You can garnish with fresh nuts or mint, or for added sweetness chocolate sauce!
