Taylor Swift
Swift broke the record for the most-streamed album in a single day in Spotify history upon the release of “Midnights” with 184.7 million streams.

Beyoncé
Beyoncé broke a record this past February for most lifetime Grammy wins with 32. To date, Beyoncé has sold over 200 million records worldwide as a solo artist, and a further 60 million as part of Destiny’s Child.

Katy Perry
Katy Perry’s massive breakthrough song ‘I Kissed A Girl’ was the first Number 1 written by the pop star. She followed that success with more Number 1s she’d written including, ‘California Gurls’, ‘Part of Me’, ‘Roar’, and her collaboration with Calvin Harris, Big Sean and Pharrell Williams, ‘Feels’. Katy currently holds the record for the most consecutive No.1 dance songs — 18 in total.

Adele
Adele is a prolific songwriter, having written or co-written nearly all of the songs on her four Number 1 albums. ‘Someone like You’, ‘Hello’ and ‘Easy on Me’ are the three Number 1 singles she’s written. Hello was the first song to sell a million digital downloads within its first week of release.

Olivia Rodrigo
Olivia Rodrigo has become the first female artist to have 3 solo songs on a single album reach a billion streams on Spotify. The 19-year-old pop megastar made history after her third hit record from ‘SOUR’, ‘deja vu’, exceeded the 1 billion mark on the streaming platform.

Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga was the first female artist to achieve 3 x 10-million-selling singles. Lady Gaga broke this record on December 8, 2020 for “Just Dance,” “Poker Face,” and “Bad Romance.” In 2019, Lady Gaga became the first woman to win an Oscar, Grammy, BAFTA, and Golden Globe in the same year.

Camila Cabello
After leaving Fifth Harmony, Camila Cabello has some big success with her Number 1 hits ‘Havana’, and ‘Señorita’, both of which she wrote.

Shania Twain
Her third studio album, Come On Over (1997), became the best-selling studio album by a female act in any genre and the best-selling country album of all time, selling over 40 million copies worldwide.

 

Dua Lipa
Dua Lipa has received two Guinness World Records; in 2020 for most tickets sold for a livestreamed concert by a solo female artist, and in 2021 for most monthly listeners on Spotify for a female artist.

The powerhouse pop star grossed $397.3 million and sold over 3 million tickets in 2018 and 2019, making it the 10th highest grossing tour in Billboard Boxscore’s history –- and the biggest for a woman in over a decade.

Mariah Carey
The only artist to have her first five singles hit No.1.

Whitney Houston
The first artist to win a BET Lifetime Achievement Award, and is the only artist to have seven consecutive No.1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
