London police are investigating an armed carjacking.
Yesterday evening, a man was stopped at the intersection of Waterloo and King Street when a stranger got in the passenger side and pulled out a hatchet.
The driver was instructed to pull around the corner. He tried to disarm the carjacker but was punched in the face a number of times before getting out. Police searched the area but came up empty.
The suspect is described as white, around 5’10”, between 25 and 35 with a full black beard and a bald or shaved head. He was last seen driving a red 2007 Pontiac Solstace convertible.
