If you’ve ever been to a Cirque Du Soleil show…you know that you will be shocked and amazed from start to finish!

Every Cirque show has flips, tricks, jumps, heck, they can basically FLY and make it look like a walk in the park!

Tonight kicks off their newest show here at Budweiser Gardens – Corteo.

Coming from the Italian word Cortege, the show is a known as a “joyous procession and festival imagined by a clown that plunged the audience into a world of fun, comedy and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth”

Yesterday, we were able to get a little preview before the show kicks off…and it looks so cool!

One of the Chandeliers used during the show!

The sets are INCREDIBLE! I think one of the coolest parts is that the audience is divided into two so the stage is smack-dab in the middle for all to enjoy. Also while we were there some of the 51 performers began practicing parts of their routine…and I am STILL not sure how they do it. (I can’t even dangle from a rope to jump into a lake let alone fly all over a chandelier!)

Also as we were walking around a group of guys came out to practice their routine…of back flips on a see-saw! They always make it look so easy…even though it takes YEARS of hard work and dedication!

We also met one of the drummers who has a special connection with the city! Alex Reis was born in Brazil but moved to London with his family. He was so sweet and is so excited to perform in front of family and friends!

Finally…we went back BACK stage to check out everything from the costumes that are HAND MADE, to the sets that pop up during the show. They are absolutely stunning and you can see just how much time and effort is put into each prop and each outfit. It reminds you how much they care and how much they want to create a show that you will enjoy and remember.

I haven’t even see the show but I can confidently say that it will be one for the books! If you’re going please make sure to enjoy every second and cheer loud and proud for these performers because they deserve it!
