Protesters have gathered on Parliament Hill to demand convicted child-killer Terri-Lynne McClintic be returned to prison from a healing lodge in Saskatchewan.

McClintic was convicted of first-degree murder in the 2009 killing of eight-year-old Tori Stafford of Woodstock.

Tori’s father was among those at this morning’s protest in Ottawa and has been highly critical of the decision to move McClintic to the healing lodge earlier this year.

Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale asked the Commissioner of Correctional Service Canada to review both the transfer and the policies allowing it after a public backlash erupted when news of the transfer became public.

A rally will be held in front of the courthouse in Woodstock tomorrow.  Participants will gather at 11am and are being asked to wear purple in support of Tori and her family.
